Freshman Show and Tell Day! Our freshman science class had a fun Show and Tell day! Students had so much fun sharing stories about their pets. We had quite a variety- dogs, a turtle, a bunny and even a chicken. Wyatt entertained everyone by playing his guitar and Nick solved a Rubik’s cube in just 18 seconds- so impressive! So thankful for the moms and grandmas who came out to support the kids. We really appreciate you!

The final Career Orientation/Work Study meeting will be held tomorrow, April 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Mrs. Davis' room.

The FCS Basics class completed the sewing unit last week. In this unit, the students learned how thread a needle and sew on a button, as well as leaning the parts of a sewing machine, after learning the parts of the machine they learned how to wind the bobbin and thread a machine and to sew different stitches. We took a field trip to Betsey's in Antlers to purchase our fabric and to see the ladies use the quilting machine's. The students completed the sewing project of a two sided apron and now we will be moving into the kitchen to learn how to cook and put the apron to use.

Sophmore Show and Tell
Shall we rather call it Student Spotlight Day instead of Show and Tell Day for high schoolers?
Our sophomores brought their stuffed toys and even their pets with families encouraging and supporting their kids to take part.
They shared the stories behind them and their special connections. It was simple, sweet and happy classroom moment.

Recently, the 5th grade wrapped up reading the novel, Shiloh, then watched the movie with Mrs. McEntire’s beagles! The students later compared the book to the movie!

Our high school science class had an unforgettable experience at the aquarium on this week. Students explored marine biodiversity, asked insightful questions and also had fun feeding stingrays and turtles. Proud of their curiosity and enthusiasm through out the trip. What a wonderful day of science in action!

Last week, The Hembey Ranch Cattle Handling Contest yielded outstanding results. Clayton 4H Girls achieved 1st place, Kiamichi River Boys attained 2nd place. Students explored welding as a career by examining real weld models, researching training programs, reviewing career information, and practicing skills using a virtual reality welding simulator. These activities allowed students to see what welders do on the job, what skills are required, and the training needed for this skilled trade.
